Evaluation
procedure:
- The
scores of the two term exams will be adjusted to 100%, and the
better score of the two exams will be chosen for the final grading.
- There
will be many opportunities for exltra credit, including attendence and strong
participation.
These extra credit will constitute up to 10% of the total.
- These
adjusted scores will be used in the computation of the final score using the following
fomula:
FInal Score = ( Homework ) * 0.25
+ midterm comprehensive
exam * 0.20
+ final comprehensive exam
* 0.23
+ One better term exam*0.12
+

- Grading
will
then
be determined under the sliding
scale, using the final scores based on their distribution.

- If you miss any one
of the comprehensive exams with
an unavoidable reason or my prior approval, you may be given an
opportunity for a make-up exam, if done before the release
of the solutions.
- If you
miss any one of the non-comprehensive term exams with
an unavoidable reason or my prior approval, your
score for the exam is 0.
- If you
miss any one of the exams without an
unavoidable reason or my prior approval, your grade will be an automatic F.

Dishonesty
It is the

includes but is not limited to cheating, plagiarism, collusion, the

for credit of any work or materials that are attributable in whole or

part to another person, taking an examination for another person, any
act
designed to give unfair advantage to a student or the attempt to commit
such acts." (Regent's Rules and Regulations, Part One, Chapter VI,
Section
3, Subsection 3.2, Subdivision 3.22).
