Welcome to UTA's DØ Regional Analysis Center (RAC)

This is the home page for the DØ Southern Regional Aanalysis Center (SRAC).  This facility is being constructed at the University of Texas at Arlington as a joint project between High Energy Physics and Computer Science and Engineering department.  The activation of the center is expected in late August - early September, 2003.  The anticipated capacity of the facility is as follows:

• CPU: A total of 106 P4 Xeon CPU's at 2.4 GHz and 100 P4 Xeon CPU's at 2.6GHz (103 Dual CPU machines)
• Memory: 1GByte/CPU
• Network Cards: 2 Gbit NIC's per each machine
• Disk space: A grand total of 65TB of disk space (60TB IDE RAID + 5TB SCSI RAID)
• The IDE RAID arrays have dual P4 Xeon, 2.4GHz CPU's w/ 2 Gbit NIC's

Since the center is for the shared research activities, not all of the above resources will be available for service for DØ.
